It’s been a fever, coughing, chills sort of time. I guess it’s that time of year, but it seems a bit early for that time of year. Alas, we are finally all on the mend. Thankfully. I don’t know if I could handle anymore of the lack of sleep that comes with sick children.
Other than recovering from the laundry explosion that happens when everyone is sick life is pretty much back to our normal routines.
It’s interesting how sickness causes us to pause. First, in this fuzzy way, but then as the fog lifts you are still seeing things in slow motion. In the slow motion I realized Daphne has a strong preference for rock music, and she loves it to be LOUD. It’s odd to see a 10 month old with such a strong preference. I thought I was projecting on her at first. Then she started covering her ears and yelling when country or pop came on. hah! I need to have my videocamera out at all times. And then there is my Lorelei, she has known her alphabet for about a year now, but she’s officially read her first book (on September 14th), and she can identify a lot of letters by their name and tons by their sound. (I thank Leap Frog) But seriously, when did this happen?
Now that the slow fog lifted, and the marathon of every (good) Disney movie has left me with TV overload, and I saw that Simple Kids is doing a 31 Days of Unplugged Play I said challenge accepted.
Ha! If she loves loud rock music, she’d get along great with my boyfriend. LOL.
